With 3.3 million nursing professionals, they form the backbone of our hospital industry — a sector projected to reach over USD 150 billion by the end of this year. To meet the growing demand, we need many more of our educated youth to join the Nightingale movement. Currently, our nurse-to-population ratio stands at just 1.96 per 1,000 people, while the WHO recommends a minimum of 3 per 1,000.”- — Shri V. V.
